TARYN KASCHOCK RUSSELL
As director of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s second company, Hubbard Street 2, from 2008-13, I came to realize my profound passions for both mentorship and teaching. Catalyzing the growth of young adults in pursuit of their art is something I love as much as I love dance itself. Prior to my directorship, I spent five seasons as a performing member of Hubbard Street and seven seasons dancing with the Joffrey Ballet. Those two companies offered me the unique privilege of performing extremely diverse repertoire, including works by George Balanchine, Anthony Tudor, John Cranko, Agnes de Mille, Martha Graham, Lar Lubovitch, Alonso King, David Parsons, Jiří Kylián, Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, and William Forsythe. . . . .My greatest passion is for nourishing artists by inspiring them to reach beyond themselves. I am passionate about what I do, and my work does not end when I leave the studio or when a dancer leaves my company or mentorship. I continue to follow their careers and offer guidance and support whenever needed. My desire, now that I have relocated to the greater New York area is to find venues where I might invest in and learn from new students and collaborators—in short, those artists who inspire me to give and to create. ***FOLLOW AND READ MORE ABOUT TARYN HERE***

Center combinations supply challenging and intricate choreography, with an overall emphasis on energy efficiency and flow.
