Gabriel Brandon-Hanson’s passion is the creation of beauty. That goal infuses his work with energy and life. Gabriel is resident costumer to the Joffrey Studio Company, Trainee and Pre Professional division of the Joffrey Ballet Academy, the official school of the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago.
During his tenure with Joffrey, Gabriel has designed and created costumes for nine full size productions and several mixed bills. His most recent production in May of 2014, was the Bluebird of Happiness an original ballet by Alexei Kremnev. He also costumes the Winning Works Choreographic Competition held annually at the Harris Theatre in Millennium Park.
Gabriel is currently in Chicago, designing and building costumes for the International Ballet Competition in Jackson, and the ICB in Varna, Bulgaria. He studied Ballet, Costuming and Theatre at Northern Illinois University and resides in Chicago, IL and Veracruz, Mexico.
